The composition lessons given by Reger in the conservatory warrant a separate study. It must have been very special occasions, as the students literally flooded to Reger's lessons.
The conservatory was severly destroyed during the bombing of 1943, but it has been rebuilt on the same location, using what was left of the building. The organs of the conservatory, once played by Reger, were destroyed, however.
